Welcome to Salty Dog Adventure Gear, founded by the outdoor and adventure loving couple Martin and Karla and inspired by our own sun, sand and salt loving kelpie Luna.

With Martin's background as a qualified outdoor instructor and Karla's experience serving in the Australian Defence Force, we have an understanding of the importance of having reliable, high quality and functional gear for any outdoor adventure.

We have spent countless hours researching the best quality products and finding the most affordable price points to provide our customers. Our focus on research and development ensures that we are always looking for ways to further innovate and improve our products to stay ahead of the curve and remain leaders in adventure gear across Australia and New Zealand.

When we're not busy running Salty Dog Adventure Gear, we spend our time off exploring the great outdoors. We enjoy camping, 4x4 off roading, touring, offshore fishing, hiking and all the adventures that come with it. Our passion for the outdoors drives us to create and bring to our customers, gear that we know can withstand all weather conditions and terrain.

Our product line includes a range of equipment including roof top tents, car awnings, shower tents, lightweight and compact hammocks, poncho towels, dog ponchos and merchandise, with more to be added. Each product has been carefully selected and tested to ensure it meets our high standards.

The Salty Dog theme was inspired by our beloved Australian kelpie, Luna who has joined us on many of our adventures in South East Queensland. Her adventurous spirit and love for the outdoors inspired us to create a brand that embodies the same spirit of adventure, excitement and exploration. We also have a passion for providing a range of products for those who have furry members of the family who love to do the same.

MARTY

Co-founder, head of sales and operations. With a long history in sales and customer relationship management, including in the camping equipment space, Marty is passionate about top notch customer service, premium product selection and sourcing and ensuring we deliver. When not being a SALTY DOG, he is unleashing his own wild side in our amazing outdoors, surfing, camping, fishing, boating and exploring.

Karla

Co-founder and head of marketing and design. A combined love of good design and years in the Australian Defence Force has driven her to be passionate about delivering a product that not only looks the goods but lasts the distance. Also the ideas girl behind the design of our brand and logo. In her spare time can be found camping, fishing and exploring. (And yes, she catches more fish than Marty).
