WARRANTY TERMS

At Salty Dog Adventure Gear we pride ourselves on exceptional customer service. We offer a 1 year manufacturing warranty on all of our products (subject to reasonable terms outlined below). You can have peace of mind that if there is an issue with your products or equipment, we will do what we can to assist. See below for more details on our warranty terms.

STANDARD WARRANTY

We are dedicated to providing our customers with high-quality products that meet their needs. We stand behind the quality of our products and offer a 1-year manufacturing warranty from the date of purchase. In the unlikely event that a product has a manufacturing fault, the purchaser is entitled to have it repaired or receive reasonable compensation for any damage caused. Our team will assess the situation and determine whether to repair, replace, or compensate for the fault at our discretion.

 

Please note that our warranty does not cover any issues resulting from improper use, faulty installation or modification, loss or damage, damage in transit, wear and tear, condensation, misuse, weather, punctured canvas, poor rust maintenance, UV damage, snapped zippers from excessive force, mould, or wind damage. The purchaser is responsible for general maintenance and ensuring proper use of the product. We will not provide a refund or compensation for any issues arising from improper use of the product.

180 & 270 DEGREE FREESTANDING AWNING WARRANTY & OBLIGATIONS

Thank you for choosing the Salty Dog Adventure Gear 180 and 270 Freestanding Awnings. We are committed to providing our customers with the best possible service, and we take pride in the quality and durability of our products. Therefore, we offer a 12-month warranty on this product against any defects in materials or workmanship. Here are the terms and conditions of our warranty policy:

 

Warranty Period: The warranty period starts from the date of purchase and lasts for 12 months. During this time, we will repair or replace any parts found to be defective due to materials or workmanship, free of charge.

Covered Items: This warranty covers any defects that occur during normal use of the Salty Dog Adventure Gear 180 and 270 Freestanding Awning. It covers the awning poles, awning fabric, and all other components of the awning included in the original purchase.

 

Exclusions: This warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, abuse, negligence, accident, or modification of the product. It also does not cover damage caused by acts of nature, such as wind, rain, hail, or other weather events. Please note that our awnings are designed to protect against the sun and are not 100% waterproof when open. They are highly water-resistant and will protect against most water ingress, but an occasional single water drip can be expected and will not result in a successful warranty claim.

 

Our Obligations: If your Salty Dog Adventure Gear 180 and 270 Freestanding Awnings is found to be defective during the warranty period, we will repair or replace the product, free of charge. If the product is no longer available, we reserve the right to substitute a similar product of equal or greater value. Our obligation under this warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of the product and does not extend to any other incidental or consequential damages. We reserve the right to deny warranty if the correct installation methods were not followed.

 

INSTALLATION:

  • Use the supplied brackets to secure your awning.

  • Brackets must be no less than 1250mm apart.

  • The rear bracket must be no more than 300mm from the back.

  • Do not over-tighten fixing bolts.

  • All four bolts must be used to fix to the backplate of the awning.

  • Fix to a roof rack or canopy individually only. Do not fix to both.

  • Check with your roof rack manufacturer for the correct size fixing nuts to your roofrack. 

HOW TO MAKE A CLAIM

To make a warranty claim, please contact our customer service department at admin@saltydogadventuregear.com.au. You will need to provide your name, address, phone number, proof of purchase, and photos of your installation/issue. Our team will assist you with the warranty claim process.
